Hey darlings, HAPPY THURSDAY!!! Ok, so Spring is HERE and summer is right around the corner. Meaning it’s time to get this hair Spring/Summer weather ready. I mean, this weather is simply NOT kind to my hair. So, I figured it’s time for my 90-day Color Retouch and my go to Summer Hairstyle.
MY GO TO SUMMER HAIRSTYLE

How I retouched my Hair-Color?

You guys already know I have tonsssss of grey hair, so I color my hair every 3 months to keep it beautiful, BLACK and vibrant. Of course, going to a salon every 3 months can get costly, so I teamed up with Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color again for my 90-day retouched. The Keratin Color & Moisture line from Schwarzkopf® truly leaves my hair feeling nourished and moisturized. And as you can see I have long, THICK dreads and the shades are suitable for all hair types and textures from straight to wavy, to curly, and even to DREADS.

Schwarzkopf® Keratin Color & Moisture does make it super easy to color my hair right at home in my bathroom. My steps are simple – I part my hair and start with the protective Pre-Color Serum, which conditions the hair before coloring for a more even color result.  I follow the instructions from the box and here we are. I would definitely agree that Keratin Color & Moisture does leave my hair looking healthy and strong.
I went with the Keratin Color & Moisture Jet Black for full grey coverage.  You can grab it at your local Target too!

Ok, not let’s get into how I style my hair.

I did not color my entire head, so this is my hair straight after the touch-up and before styling it into the little dread-knots.MY GO TO SUMMER HAIRSTYLE MY GO TO SUMMER HAIRSTYLE Ok, now let’s get into the style. Summer is my travel season and this month alone I have 2 trips on the books. So, I figured I’ll go ahead and share my go-to hairstyle, the Dread-Knots. The style itself is super simple and I have a few steps by steps photos in case you guys want to try it.

Let’s do it!

MY GO TO SUMMER HAIRSTYLE
1: First thing first, I part my hair into 2 sections. The back of my hair is a lot shorter than the front, so they are a little hard to do.
2: After parting my hair I take one dread, fold it in half, I created a loop at the end. Take the hanging part and wrap it around from the roots down then close it by putting the end into the loop. Of course, if you want you can use a small black rubber band to close it.

3: I repeat step 2 until my entire head is done. And look like the final pictures!
